Viosys in Seoul announced that violeds technology has introduced the sterilization solution for escalator handrails, which will be provided to the world's leading manufacturers of elevator and escalator products. Violeds is a cleaning technology that uses UV LED lights to strongly disinfect the surface of handrails. Its design is optimized to match the speed, area and distance of the armrest to kill 99.9% of harmful viruses and bacteria in areas exposed to light.
EHC's sterilization solution for handrails using vialys's vials technology has been installed on escalators and moving walks all over the world, including airports, public transport systems, commercial buildings, shopping malls, department stores, medical facilities, sports venues, museums and government buildings. EHC recently provided videos technology with escalator handrails to Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport in Alaska and James Armstrong Richardson International Airport in Winnipeg, Canada.
